Description
IMPACT2 Solicitation FA852510R23848 20090610 Signed CDRLs Performance Work Statement (PWS) 09-730GFEA-30 IMPACT2 IMPACT2 is an on-going effort to identify candidate parts for repair/overhaul with advanced coating processes, such as thermal spray and plating as well as composite repair processing for aging aircraft components. IMPACT2 shall include those engineering and cost/benefit trade studies necessary to ensure the most cost effective parts are selected and converted to the most appropriate advanced repair process. The IMPACT2 Program's objectives are to improve aircraft readiness/availability and depot regulatory compliance, ensuring components sustainment for 8-year Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM), while reducing sustainment support costs, PDM flow days, and processing waste streams by implementing advanced thermal spray and repair technologies for repair of C-5 aircraft, including airframe, engine and landing gear components. IMPACT2 shall target needed improvements identified at the first levels of (1) maintenance and overhaul functions; (2) new production and repair technical data management; and (3) verification of integrity, and qualification of components converted to advanced coatings/repairs for new production and/or repair. This effort shall focus on the development of repair processes for the C-5 slat tracks and flap tracks, as well as for 20 selected C-5 composite panels. The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, labor, and training necessary to define, develop, configure, test, deploy and maintain the modules/processing systems of the IMPACT2 Program, including engineering studies and overhaul infrastructure and business process improvements.
