Description
Questions 4: 1) Who provides the DVD/VCR and audio amplifier for Room 236? If provided by the contractor, what are the desired specifications on the amplifier? 2) For all rooms requiring LCD monitors, what type of mounts are to be used? Flat, tilt, or articulating? 3) In Room 236, does the matrix switcher need to have to ability to bring in all computer feeds (approximately 8) as well as the CCTV feed and the CATV feed, and then disburse them to the desired LCD using only one input on each of the LCD monitors? If not, then is it desired to have the monitors have a CCTV and CATV feed at each LCD and the matrix be used as an input only for the PC's and then output to a third input on each of the LCD's? If the matrix is to control all functions, then CATV and CCTV feeds will not be necessary at each LCD, only the feed from the Credenza mounted matrix. The simplest way to ask this question may be this, is it expected that the matrix switcher and touch screen system will handle all incoming source feeds and disburse them with a single feed to each LCD monitor, or is it expected that the touch screen control will handle input switching on each of the LCD's for CCTV and CATV and the matrix will handle PC switching? 4) What will the source(s) be for the projector in Room 236? Will this unit be a fifth source off of the CCTV, CATV, PC touch screen matrix setup? 5) Is there a required finish material for the credenza in Room 236? 6) Can the monitors can vary in size at all. i.e. can they be larger since most manufacturers sizes vary slightly? Answers 4: 1) The contractor is responsible for all A/V equipment and sizing it appropriately for each room. We would expect the amp to provide distortion free audio out to the speakers in that room; when, the volume is set to a level that can be clearly understood. 2) All will require tilt and maybe a couple will require articulating. 3) It is expected that the matrix switcher and touch screen system will handle all incoming source feeds and disburse them with a single feed to each LCD monitor. 4) The projector should be considered as an output from the switcher. 5) It will be required to have an aesthetically pleasing finish to complement the other furniture in the room, probably a Cherry finish. 6) The monitors can be larger, but no smaller. However, quotations will be evaluated based on the minimum requirements set forth in the statement of work (i.e. the costs of larger monitor will affect your total price).
