Description
NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal(RFP) for the Pressure Transducers for the Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) Project. Thescope of work for this procurement entails the Contractor providing the facilities,personnel, services, tools, equipment, and materials for the Pressure Transducers inaccordance with the Pressure Transducer Statement of Work, Specification, and DeliverableItems List and Schedule, which will be provided with issuance of the RFP.This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside under Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR) Subpart 15.3, Source Selection, and NASA FAR Supplement (NFS) Subpart 1815.3,Source Selection.NASA/GSFC anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price type contract for this effort with ananticipated award date on or about March/April 2010.The Government does not intend to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12. See NASASpecific Numbered Note 26 -- this can be accessed at the following URL:http://genesis.gsfc.nasa.gov/nasanote.html. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is334519.The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about January 13, 2010, with ananticipated offer closing date on or about February 12, 2010. The actual due date forreceipt of offers will be stated in the prospective RFP. Upon issuance of the RFP, allqualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by thisagency. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any).
