Description
POC: Tangee Brookie, U. S. Geological Survey, P. O. Box 25046, MS-204A, Denver, CO 80225, e-mail: tbrookie@usgs.gov. The U. S. Geological Survey, Geologic Discipline, has a requirement for the 25th upgrade of significant oil and gas fields digital database including the updated data which is to be provided by the vendor for the United States to include the following: 1. Complete field and reservoir records for all fields first demonstrated to be significant in 2008. 2. Year 2008 field and reservoir annual production, cumulative production, proven reserves, and known recovery of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids. 3. Year 2008 field and reservoir cumulative production, proven reserves, and known recovery in barrels of equivalent. 4. Year 2008 well data for fields in the database. 5. Continued upgrading of the database, including improvements based on the recent revisions by the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana and by the Minerals Management Service. Award shall be made on or about March 1, 2010, and continue through 12 months, plus 4 option years. Based on information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the Government considers the services specified as a sole source from Nehring Associates, Inc., P. O. Box 1655, Colorado Springs, CO and proposes to negotiate a contract with that firm on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required data and services are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement. An affirmative response would include literature, brochures, and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Concerns having the ability to furnish the database described herein are requested to give written notification (including the telephone number for a point of contact) to the procuring office above within fifteen (15) days from the date of this synopsis. Since no solicitation document exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information will be considered non-response to this request without further consideration. This notice may represent the Government's only official notice of this procurement.
