- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for proposal. There will not be a solicitation issued at this time. This notice is published to determine set-aside procedures for an upcoming project. The Northampton VA Medical Center, Leeds, MA, has a requirement for renovations to the East Wing Community Living Center of Building #1, Project 631-450. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) contractors with sufficient bonding capacity to perform this project to warrant a set-aside procurement action. The project description is as follows: Design Build and general construction. Work includes design services prior to and during construction phase, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, and necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items based on design and specifications provided. Included is all work for the entire project with a separate line cost item for temporary facilities during the renovation. The applicable NAICS 238990, all other Specialty Trade Contractors, and the size standard is $14.00 million. SDVOSBs and/or VOSBs interested must be registered the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database as well as the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Registration is to be accomplished at the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov for VetBiz and www.ccr.gov for CCR. Interested parties responding to this sources sought notice shall submit the following minimum information:1.Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and DUNS number. 2.Documentation relating to capability of performing a project of this nature with a construction magnitude of $5.0 m to $10.0 m (including references) 3.Ability to meet at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel will be spent on the concern's employees or employees of other service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, which is a requirement of Public Law 109-461 for specialty trade construction. 4.Proof of registration in VetBiz and CCR. 5.Documentation on bonding capacity in the aggregate as well as per project. Address that capacity will be available on or about March 2010. The due date for responses to this sources sought is January 15, 2010 at 12:00 Noon.
