Description

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Western Fisheries Research Center (WFRC), requires the purchase of Preventative / Corrective Maintenance, to include all materials and parts to be found to be defective during service period and telephone support for a Scan RDI Microbial Detection System. Service also includes two 12 - month Option Periods. The preventative maintenance includes one scheduled visit per year with all traveling and labor inclusive. Corrective maintenance includes three on site service visits per length of contract period, with all travel and labor charges inclusive. Material includes all parts found to be defective during preventative or corrective maintenance periods excluding laser, optic fiber and computer. Telephone support shall be available from 9:00am to 6pm EST. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b),(1) to AES Chemunex, Inc. Due to the complexity of the hardware and software that make up the Scan RDI system manufactured and purchased previously from AES Chemunex, Inc., Princeton, New Jersey, regular service and calibration must be performed by technicians familiar with the Scan RDI system technology that is necessary to maintain the system in good working order. No other company is known that can provide requested services as mentioned above. Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish these services/supplies shall submit a capabilities statement to the Contracting Officer no later than the closing date of this announcement. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist. This is NOT an RFQ. This does represent the Government's only written notice of this procurement. All responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, must be considered by the agency. This notice and any resulting contract or order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 05-38 (effective 10 DEC 09).
