Description
The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line has a requirement for various Detroit Diesel engine parts to support the Detroit Diesel Model 12V71 and Detroit Diesel Model No. 6V92TA Engines. Preservation and packaging will be performed in accordance with ASTM-D-3951 (Standard Practice for Commercial Packaging). All parts shall be new. All items shall be delivered within 120 calendar days from issuance of individual delivery orders. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination to an established delivery address identified in each individual delivery order. A fixed-price requirements type contract, consisting of one base year and four option years is anticipated. It is the Government’s belief that only Detroit Diesel Corporation, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and/or their authorized distributors, can furnish the required parts and ensure the proper form, fit and function of all its components. Therefore it is the Government’s intent to solicit only Detroit Diesel and/or their authorized distributors. Offerors having the expertise and capabilities to furnish the required parts are invited to submit complete information within 15 calendar days from the day information must include this notice is posted. Information submitted must include: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract.
