Description
The purpose of this Modification/Amendment is to request answers to Follow on questions for industry as of 30 Dec 09. It is also to introduce the name change of the program from CAPS II to CAPS 2.0. Basics regarding questions: Industry input is welcome on all areas concerning the CAPS 2.0 program. There is no set communication period, however we would appreciate responses by 15 Jan 10. Input and questions are welcome at any time and should be directed to the program managers listed on this notice. (For the following questions, please refer to the current CAPS contract information, Attachment 3, CAPS Contract Labor Categories, 16 Oct 07, for a starting place. Assume the ability to add additional labor categories as needed.) Question 1: If CAPS 2.0 ‘bucketizes' the labor categories, how many groupings make sense? What groupings of labor categories would you recommend? Why? Question 2: Regarding labor categories in general; we are looking for suggestions regarding what kind of information should be included here. What specifically should we be asking for in the different labor categories? Are there generalities we can use with regards to levels of experience across all labor categories? Are there some generalities that work with most, but not all labor categories? What are the exceptions; what should the exceptions be and why? Where can we find basic and generally accepted industry definitions of these labor categories? If there is no such definition of any particular category, your suggestions are welcome. __________________________________________________________________________ Past Notice Information ASC/AQZ is hosting an Industry Day on 10 November, 2009 at 9:00 am. This will be the first of several planned events with industry. If for some reason you cannot participate, there will be other opportunities. A second purpose is to get input from industry in order to craft a smart acquisition strategy. To that end, we invite you to answer the attached questions which include instructions.
