- Description
- The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will be soliciting proposals to increase the number of Hispanic Physicians who are knowledgeable and able to employ leadership principles and to develop policies and projects that address public health interventions that can improve the health outcomes of Hispanic and other underserved populations. The scope of work would include creation and implementation of a health policy leadership development curriculum and infrastructure that would result in a cadre of at least 20 Hispanic physicians with the skills and knowledge to address health policy issues affecting health disparities in Hispanic and other minority populations at the federal, state, local and community-based levels. Included in this scope is the development of the curriculum, the implementation of four face-to-face training meetings, evaluation of the year long leadership development program and an evaluation of the curriculum. In the option years, quality improvement methodologies will be used to improve the curriculum and the overall leadership development project and their evaluation. The Government anticipates awarding a 12 month cost reimbursement contract with three (3) one year Options. Award of a contract resulting from this solicitation is restricted to organizations under NAICS code 62111. The solicitation will be issued on or about JAN 20, 2010. It will be available at the this website, www.fbo.gov under HHS, Health Resources and Services Administration, Posted Dates. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the site for amendments to the solicitation. The agency will consider proposals from all responsible sources.
