- (Subject Continued) Boiler - Barracks Bldg 4415 Ft. Meade HV/AC Replacement Project. Project #6. Project is 100% HUBZONE set aside. Project is for the replacement of various HV/AC systems on Bldgs 4550, 4551, & 4415. Projects are Design-Build. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the construction and repair of HV/AC Systems on Multiple Bldgs on Ft. Meade/ The proposed procurement is 100% HUZONE Set-Aside with NAICS code 238220 with a size standard of $33.5M. The solicitation will be available on or about 20 January 2008 with proposals due on or about 19 February 2009. Estimated cost of the construction will be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Construction duration is 720 days from receipt of notice to proceed. Solicitation Package #6 Building 4550: This project will be design-build. Demolish existing pneumatic and DDC controls on building HVAC systems, which include a chiller, a boiler, pumps, and a VAV air handling unit and terminal units, and install new Lonworks DDC controls. Coordinate with Trane to integrate the building Lon controls into the Trane Bacnet UMCS. Building 4551: This project will be design-build. Replace existing two-pipe multi-zone air handling units with new air handling units and reconfigure hydraulic piping system. Clean all existing ductwork to remain. Replace ceiling-hung fan coil units. Patch, repair, and replace building finishes as necessitated by the scope of this project. New controls installed under this contract will be Lon. Coordinate with Trane to integrate the building Lon controls into the Trane Bacnet UMCS. Building 4415: This project will be design-build. Demolish existing summer/winter switchover controls, valves, and associated appurtenances and piping. Demolish existing two-pipe fan coil units and replace them with four-pipe fan coil units. Provide new heating hot water and chilled water distribution piping as required to facilitate this scope. The existing boiler and chiller are to remain. Remove and replace all piping insulation. Provide a new split system dedicated outdoor-air system to ventilate the entire building. Replace all lay in ceiling tiles in the building. Install new control valves and thermostats on existing hot water convector units. Patch, repair, and replace building finishes as necessitated by the scope of this project. New controls installed under this contract will be Lon. Coordinate with Trane to integrate the building Lon controls into the Trane Bacnet UMCS. All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format on or around the 20th of January 2010. After issuance of the solicitation, contractors may view and/or download the solicitation and all amendments. Plans and specifications will not be available in paper format. Oral Communications are not acceptable. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
