- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT RECOVERY-- POWERS Pre-Commercial Thinning, Pruning, Handpiling, Roadside Brushing, Chipping and Burning The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 6 has a requirement for 220 acres of pre-commercial tree thinning, pruning, handpiling, burning and related work which includes furnishing all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals except those items, if any, listed as Government-furnished property. The anticipated period of performance is 180 days from the effective date of the notice to proceed. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract. Project work will be located in the Powers Ranger District, Coos County, OR. **THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE--THE ESTIMATED SOLICITATION POSTING/RELEASE DATE IS JANUARY 11, 2010** This acquisition is a 100% TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS set-aside. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 115310. The size standard is $17.5 million. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The solicitation with specifications and Service Contract Act wage rates will be posted to the FedBizOps website www.fbo.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation and applicable amendments will be mailed or issued. To receive the solicitation and any applicable amendments, offerors must download them from www.fbo.gov. The resulting contract shall utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. This act requires the inclusion of unique provisions, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror.
