Description

Sole Source Justification Liquid Scintillation Analyzer Maintenance: The solicitation number is FA8601-10-T-0083. The NAICS Code is 811219. The size standard is $7M. The proposed contract is for a performance period of 1October 2009 - 30 September 2010. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is PerkinElmer Instruments, Shelton, CT. The contract will include 2 preventative maintenance visits for a PerkinElmer TriCarb 1600 Liquid Scintillation Analyzer. It will also include parts, labor, travel, phone support, and training. The services will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within ten (10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
