- This is a requirement for the overhaul of the KC 135 Rudder Actuator. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish repair, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the KC 135 Rudder Actuator. A firm fixed price requirements type contract is contemplated. The contract period will be two years with a basic and a one-year option. The items and quantities are as follows:Item 0001: Overhaul NSN 1650-01-142-8094, P/N 300300-1003; Applicable to KC 135 aircraft; Basic Year Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ), 130 each; Option I Year BEQ, 95 each.Item 0002 Over and Above Work; Item 0003 Data IAW DD1423s. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 10 each per month beginning 30 days ARO the later of reparable item or funded order.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS APPLY. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SOURCES are Moog Inc., Avborne Accessory Group Inc., Parker-Hannifin Corporation and Dover Diversified, Inc.The approximate solicitation issue date will be 20 January 2010 closing 19 February 2010.PR number is FD2030-10-26754.NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
