Description

RECOVERY: Replace 10 Miles of Fence, ARRA Funded FFS Project Number R6HL, TAS::14 1610::TAS THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS BEING OFFERED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS OFFERED UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT: Project includes removal of approximately 10 miles of interior fence and replacing it with two strand high tension electric fencing with wire gates. JOB CONDITIONS: The proposed fence line traverses terrain that may be wet, sandy or uneven. There may be a number of small drainages, rises and falls, and rocky or compacted soils. All work shall be completed before November 2010. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE: The site for fence rehabilitation is at the Medicine Lake National Wildlife Refuge, approximately 4 miles from Medicine Lake, Montana. Prospective offerors may inspect the site by contacting the Project Leader at Medicine Lake National Wildlife Refuge, 223 North Shore Road, Medicine Lake, Montana 59247. Telephone number (406) 789-2305. Your attention is invited to review Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.236-3, Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work (Apr 1984). Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve the contractor from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: The estimated magnitude of the project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The total performance period is 45 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code is 238990, All other Specialty Contractors, and the size standard is $14 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about January 19, 2010 with an anticipated closing date of February 18, 2010. Copies of the Request for Proposal, specifications and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance.
