Description
NOTE: THE DUE DATE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. THE OFFICIAL DATE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS WILL BE INDICATED IN THE INVITATION FOR BIDS AND MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM THE ABOVE DATE. REPLACE OF ONE (1) CULVERT WITH A NEW BRIDGE, AND REPLACEMENT OF TWO (2) EXISTING BRIDGES WITH TWO (2) NEW BRIDGES AS FOLLOWS: Priest Lake Bridges : This project is for the construction of three bridges in the Priest Lake Ranger District on the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, Bonner County, Idaho as follows: •Consalus Creek Bridge No. 2730-01.7 (Culvert Replacement) •Granite Creek Bridge No. 638-00.2 (Bridge Replacement) •Fedar Creek Bridge No. 1347-02.2 (Culvert Replacement) Consalus Creek Bridge: This site includes removing an existing corrugated steel culvert on Consalus Creek and replacing it with a new prestressed concrete single span bridge. The work includes but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, erosion control measures, roadway and structural excavation, removing and disposing an existing pipe culvert, compaction, riprap, rock vanes, roadway surfacing, furnishing and erecting prestressed concrete beams, placing cast-in-place concrete, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. Granite Creek Bridge: This site includes removing an existing two span treated timber bridge over Granite Creek and replacing it with a new prestressed concrete single span bridge. The work includes but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, erosion control measures, roadway and structural excavation, removing, salvaging and disposing an existing two span treated timber bridge, compaction, concrete grouted riprap, roadway surfacing, furnishing and erecting prestressed concrete beams, placing cast-in-place concrete, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. Fedar Creek Bridge: This site includes removing three existing steel culverts on Fedar Creek, and replacing them with a Government supplied prestressed concrete single span bridge constructed from stockpiled beams salvaged from Porcupine Creek in the Lightning Creek Drainage in November 2009. The work includes but is not limited to clearing and grubbing, erosion control measures, roadway and structural excavation, removing and disposing existing pipe culverts, compaction, riprap, rock vanes, roadway surfacing, transporting and erecting Government furnished prestressed concrete beams, placing cast-in-place concrete, furnishing and erecting a steel curb system, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. Consalus Creek Bridge: This project is located on Road 2730, mile post 1.7, in Section 30, Township 59 North, Range 5 West. Consalus Creek Bridge project can be reached by taking SH57 north from Priest River, Idaho approximately 22.3 miles to junction with County Road No. 122W/FDR No. 312 near Dickensheet Junction. Turn left onto County Road No. 122W/FDR No. 312 and travel 4.6 miles to junction of Forest Development Route (FDR) No. 333. Continue on Route No. 333 for approximately 0.9 miles and it will turn into Route No. 2730. Continue on Route No. 2730 for 1.7 miles to the proposed Consalus Creek Bridge site. You will travel through some private ground and residences along FDR No. 333 & FDR No. 2730. Granite Creek Bridge: This project is located on Road 638, mile post 0.2, in Section 34, Township 62 North, Range 5 West. Granite Creek Bridge project can be reached by taking SH57 north from Priest River, Idaho approximately 36.5 miles to Nordman, Idaho. Continue north on FDR No 302 another 3.2 miles to end of pavement and junction with Forest Development Route No. 638. Turn right on FDR No. 638 and travel 0.2 miles to the proposed Granite Creek Bridge site. Fedar Creek Bridge: This project is located on Road 1347, mile post 2.2, in Section 1, Township 61 North, Range 5 West. See directions above to access the Granite Creek Bridge site. From the Granite Creek Bridge site continue on FDR No. 638 another 0.8 miles to junction with FDR No. 1347. Turn right on FDR No. 1347 and travel another 2.2 miles to the proposed Fedar Creek Bridge site.
