Description
Interested parties MUST provide a copy of the agreement with the Harris Corporation to repair these radios with voiding the warranty on the equipment with their response to be considered qualified to participate. Interested parties MUST be able to repair all of the listed radios. Work will be performed in Afghanistan. Interested parties MUST have a facility clearance allowing them access to information classified at the US SECRET level. The United States Marine Corps has purchased a number of Tactical Hand-Held, High Frequency, and Multi-Band Radios. The radios include the Harris Falcon II and Falcon III family of radios. Specific types of radios include the following: AN/PRC-152 hand-held radio, AN/VRC-110 amplified dual-vehicle adapter radio system, the AN/PRC-117F Multi-band radio, the AN/PRC-150 High-Frequency radio, and the newly introduced AN/PRC-117G Multi-Band radio. Approximately 5,000 and 10,000 of a combination of these radios have been shipped to Afghanistan. The required support needed to sustain all of the above radios include the following: Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) repair, Shop-Replaceable Unit (SRU) repair, fault isolation, quality assurance in-theater readiness sustainment to the Marine Corps greater than 85%; stock, storage, and maintenance of LRUs and SRUs, consumable items, operator training, and equipment installation assistance. Tracking the transfer of stock and gathering repair data is helpful. This support would be for a period of one (1) year in the Afghanistan Area of Operation (AOA). The possibility exists that a total of five (5) years of support is needed. Support personnel would be required to reside on military installations and operate out of an electronic-maintenance facility. General-Purpose Test Equipment (GPTE) will be supplied, but Special-Purpose Test Equipment (SPTE) would be the responsibility of the interested parties. Living quarters may be either tents or semi-permanent facilities, depending upon the location supported.
