Description
The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia, 22448-5l00, plans to procure on a sole source basis, Large Displacement Shock Simulator (LDSS) Shock Testing for the Ship's Information, Training and Entertainment (SITE) CKT 14TV Antenna System. This procurement will utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Hi-Test Labs will conduct the testing in accordance with the Statement of Work (PEO/IWS #IWS1A2S-07-125 dated 09/20/07).The testing will involve MIL-S-901D procedures. The SITE CKT 14TV is classified as Grade B, Class I, Type A. The antenna test requirements are high velocity (less than 20 ft/second) and low frequency (less than 5 Hz) in order to meet the shock environments the antenna will be subjected to when installed on the ship. Hi-Test is the only facility with a Large Displacement Shock Simulator (LDSS) capable of meeting these unique requirements. The Statement of Work includes Submittal of Installation Layout, Test Preps and Machine Set-up, Completion of Installation of GFE Antenna, Completion of Test Operations of Antenna, Submittal of Preliminary Test Report and Instrumentation, 2 ch, Accelerometers, as well as Building a Test Structure to Hold the Antenna. The testing is expected not to exceed 5 weeks. Hi-Test Laboratories, Inc., 1104 Arvon Road, Arvonia, VA 23004 (D&B# 078191590). There will be no written solicitation issued as a result of this notice. This item shall be shipped to the Receiving Officer, 6620 Tisdale Road, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5114.
