Description

The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotes for a firm-fixed-price purchase order for LiDAR (Light Detection & Ranging) digital terrain data in the vicinity of the Klamath Basin in Oregon. The NAICS Code is 541360; the applicable size standard is $4.5 million. Solicitation R10PS20026 will be posted at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or around January 8, 2010. The estimated date for receipt of quotes is January 15, 2010. The solicitation and specifications must be downloaded at the above site; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Annual Representations and Certifications (ORCA), as required by FAR 4.1102, apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained at http://www.ccr.gov. Information on ORCA can be obtained at http://orca.bpn.gov. Scope of work includes: Reclamation is conducting general project planning studies of the Klamath Project and acquisition of accurate topography coverage over the extent of the project is crucial to success of the studies. The topography acquired through the requested services outlined below, would be an order of magnitude greater in accuracy than the topography which the Klamath Basin Area Office, Klamath Falls, Oregon currently possesses. To support its general project planning activities, Reclamation is acquiring detailed terrain data for the extent of the Klamath Project acquired using airborne LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology. Reclamation intends to use the data for planning studies to address water conservation, dam and canals of concern, safety, and operations and maintenance issues on the project. Contractor shall acquire LiDAR terrain data for the Klamath Project service area lands located in south-central Oregon and northern California. The approximate total area for these project areas is 750 square miles. Data will be acquired in January 2010 through June 2011 to capture ground conditions with minimal snow cover.
