Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a prospectus on January 7, 2010, for proposals to operate passenger ferry service to Bulls Island, interpretive talks en route to and from Bulls Island, sale of drinking water and possible interpretive tours/environmental education programs at the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, Awendaw, South Carolina. The existing Concession Contract between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the existing Concessioner expires on June 20, 2010. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is NOT a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for five (5) years. Any offer, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 4, Division of Contracting and Grants Services 1875 Century Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30345 no later than February 19, 2010, no later than 10:00AM (Eastern Standard Time) in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract. All Cape Romain Concession documents (Prospectus, Contract, Exhibits and Attachments) are available through the National Business Center website (http://ideasec.nbc.gov/). A one-day site visit has been scheduled for January 20, 2010, 10:00AM if you would like to participate in the site visit you must RSVP to Ray Patera (843-928-3264 or ray_patera@fws.gov) or Kevin Godsea (843-928-3264 or kevin_godsea@fws.gov) for additional information regarding time and location and to reserve a spot. Potential Offerors are encouraged to visit the Concession operation and facilities, however the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will perform only one site visit on the date identified above. Questions in response to this prospectus are due in writing to the address above no later than 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on February 3, 2010.
