- The Space and Naval Warfare SystemsCenter (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Advanced Technology Branch (Code 51610) is seeking information on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) in-car camera systems designed specifically for use in law enforcement patrol cars to capture audio and visual evidence, record traffic stops, car chases, and other public interactions. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Authorized Equipment List (AEL) item number for this equipment is AEL # 04MD-01-VCAM (Video camera). The target audience for this information is the emergency responder community and all submittals should be suited to their specific needs. Review of this information is being performed for the DHS System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validation of commercial equipment and systems and provide those results to the emergency responder community. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SAVER Program documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow- up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a brief description (75 words or less). 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SAVER projects. If a SAVER project on this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including emergency responder surveys and responder focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Vendors may be contacted following submission for more detailed product information. Vendor provided information may be reformatted for publication in SAVER Program documents. Submittals Respondents are required to complete the attached product summary questionnaire (ICC_RFI_pub) for each product following the instructions on the first page of the questionnaire.
