- U.S. TREASURY ENCONOMIC CRIMES REGIONAL ADVISOR The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Technical Assistance is recruiting an individual on a competitive basis to serve as Regional Advisor (Latin America and the Caribbean) under the Economic Crimes Program. The person selected will be hired under a personal services contract. This recruitment is for a regional assignment for Latin America and the Caribbean with the post of duty in Washington, D.C. Significant international travel is required. QUALIFICATIONS: Treasury is seeking candidates who possess expertise in financial crime law enforcement issues, including the investigation and prosecution of federal white collar crime or organized crime and corruption cases, forensic accounting and auditing, tax evasion, bank supervision or bank examination relating to compliance or enforcement issues, with specific experience in such areas as money laundering, bank fraud, asset identification and forfeiture, regulatory oversight or enforcement, and terrorist financing. Prior overseas experience working or training in challenging environments are helpful factors and should be highlighted. Fluency in the Spanish language is required and French language ability is desirable, but not required. Experience at a senior policy level with domestic and/or foreign technical assistance programs is required. Candidates must be U.S. citizens SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salaries will be negotiated in accordance with program regulations based on demonstrated salary history. The salary ranges are from $123,758 to $165,300. Successful applicants must be able to obtain medical and security clearances.
