Description
This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. There is no solicitation package available. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst is seeking Small Business sources including 8(a), Small Disadvantage Veteran Owned and HubZone to make a set aside determination for this procurement, which are capable of producing a similar item of supply which will be used to degrease and clean mechanical components in the aircraft parts inventory. The item in which information is being sought for is an Ultrasonic Parts Washer. The NAWCAD Lakehurst has a requirement for an ISO 9001 certified company to manufacture prototypes of support equipment procured by the Navy. The items required can be Commercial off the Shelf items as requested. The manufacturer shall be capable of manufacturing the item of supply and support spares as it will be a requirement to support the requested component. Operation and repair manuals will also be required for the material in question. The contractor should have the capability to receive export controlled material in Adobe PDF format. The contractor should have most of the following capabilities: 1. General Manufacturing: Cutting, Milling, Turning and Threading, Drilling and Tapping, Reaming, Grinding, Honing, Lapping and Broaching 2. Welding and soldering 3. NDI 4. Sheet Metal: Sheet Metal, Drilling, Engraving, Milling 5. Engraving 6. Plating, Anodizing, Painting and Passivation 7. Electrical and computer knowledge 8. Knowledge in cleaning supplies Additional capabilities which could be utilized include: 1. Computer Aided Manufacturing: The capability for a manufacturer to take a 3D Pro/E model and generate a prototype. 2. Sewing: IAW ASTM D6193 The Government is looking for potential sources for this requirement.
