Description
SF 330 Architect-Engineer Qualifications Applications are invited from engineering firms to provide professional services for design services and construction period services for the seismic retrofit and renovation of Building 2 at the American Lake Division of the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. The design work product will be developed as two separate construction solicitation packages. The AE will produce the first solicitation that will cover the seismic upgrade and interior renovation of the ground and second floor as well as the overall building utility systems. The second solicitation will be for seismic upgrade and interior renovation of the third floor and roof seismic upgrade as well as the extension of the utility systems to the remainder of the building. The interior renovation will be designed for various clinical and administrative services. Design disciplines will include seismic/structural, mechanical, hazardous material abatement, electrical, and architectural interiors and cost estimating. The A/E contractor must provide bid-ready design documents 180 calendar days after A/E contract award. The A/E contractor will be responsible for the proper preparation of drawings compatible with the Federal Governments Business Opportunity System (FBO) website (ie. PDF). Evaluation and selection will be based on qualifications stated under FBO Numbered Note 24. The selected firm or organization must have significant experience in the design of whole building seismic retrofitting and the renovation existing medical facilities. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the credentials of the firm and assigned staff to support the study scope. Special qualifications and selection of firms will place emphasis on design capabilities of firms with previous experience in the seismic retrofitting and renovation existing hospital facilities. The applicable NAICS code is 541310. This acquisition for design services will be a 100% set aside for veteran owned small businesses. This is not a Request for Proposal. A current SF 330 representing and differentiating between the personnel, experience and capabilities of all involved offices, must be included with the application for each proposed consultant's office involved. No firm or organization will be considered unless an application consisting of the completed SF 330 and other evidence of experience and capabilities the applicant considers relevant is submitted.
