Description
Please note that this is NOT a request for SF330's or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue additional announcements or solicitation documents. The Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center (RLR VAMC), Indianapolis, IN, is conducting a market survey for well qualified small businesses (in the following socioeconomic categories: Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8a, and/or Hub Zone) capable of providing the required A/E services outlined below for the VA Medical Center located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Applicable NAICS code is 541330 size standard $4.5 million. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated construction cost of the resulting construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All interested parties must have a working office that would provide the professional services within a 300 mile radius of Indianapolis, Indiana. Responses to this notice shall be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received no later than January 14th, 2010. No telephone inquires will be accepted. All responses to this notice must identify the social economic category of the respondent, name and address of company, name and phone number of contact person, and the company's DUNS number. Description of work to be performed includes: The Architect/Engineer A/E firm shall provide all tools, equipment, material, labor and supervision necessary to accomplish the following design work: The scope of this project is to add a third standby generator to the existing ASCO/Delta paralleling switchgear and modify the gear to provide additional annunciation and control of the existing transfer switches and future loads. The design shall include providing a new diesel generator rated 1250kVA at 480VAC 60 Hz complete with remote radiator. This unit to be complete with the latest digital engine control package to provide alarm and annunciation for NFPA 110 and include pre alarms for High Water Temperature, Low Oil Pressure and Low Water Temperature. In addition the control package shall be complete with communication to interface with the paralleling gear to provide the engine and alternator information in a Modbus format to allow remote monitoring and logging of all warnings and alarms. Provide a new horizontal flow dual circuit radiator with integral surge tanks to provide proper cooling of the engine water jacket and aftercooler. Provide a new dual wall day tank with two solenoid valves in the supply line. Provide a new engine cubicle to integrate fully with the existing ASCO/Delta switchgear. The A/E firm shall be responsible for site review of the existing facility in order to field verify the owner's existing documents and as-built drawings. Any modifications that are required to be made as a result of the site review shall be communicated to VA and corrected by the A/E firm. The A/E firm shall provide design review submissions. Each submission shall contain design drawings, specifications, and a detailed cost estimate for VA review and approval. The cost estimate shall contain specific quantities, labor, material, overhead and profit costs. The design completion period will be 105 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The AE firm shall also provide Construction Period Services during the construction phase to include final as-built drawings. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received no later than January 14th, 2010. No telephone inquires will be accepted and no additional information regarding the scope of work is available at this time. All responses to this notice must identify the social economic category of the respondent, name and address of company, name and phone number of contact person, and the company's DUNS number. Interested firms will be required to monitor and respond to additional announcements SEPARATELY from this announcement without further notice from the Government when posted to http://www.fbo.gov.
