- This project includes all work associated with re-roof and re-cabling of the Airport Traffic Control Tower in Lincoln, Nebraska. The work includes but is not limited to the following: 1-1.1.2 Scope of Work. - This project generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following items: Architectural - Civil Catwalk Roof - After FAA equipment relocation - Remove the existing roof system including membrane, insulation and drain screens.Install new TPO membrane roof complete with insulation and drain screens.Upgrade the existing catwalk level guardrail to meet current OSHA standards, which may include an overall height extension and the addition of a midrail.Cab roof - Remove and retain the existing lightning protection system from the ATCT roof to below the catwalk level.Remove and retain the existing insulated cab roof paversRemove and retain the existing aluminum cable raceway Remove the existing roof membrane. (installed in 1988, review roof system make-up/cross-section)Remove existing parapet wall cap flashingInstall OSHA compliant guardrail system on the cab roof level complete with pull string between the cab floor to rooftop raceway system (typical 2 each mullions) In addition to OSHA requirements, the guardrail system shall be designed and installed to point load lateral force of 300 pounds. Guardrail shall include 2" rigid galvanized schedule 80 male thread antenna mounts as shown on the contract drawings.Install a new TPO roof system complete with roof insulation, membrane and flashing.Re-install the existing aluminum cable raceway beneath the new OSHA compliant guardrail.Re-install and attach the existing insulated pavers.Re-attach applicable lightning protection connectionsInstall new cab roof hatch ladder assembly Electrical 1st Floor - Replace and relocate (due to clearance) panel NLP-1.Replace panel ELP-1 and consolidate with ELPA-1.3rd Floor -Replace panel ELP-2, ELP-3 and ELP-4.4th Floor - Replace and relocate (due to clearance) panel NLP-2.Replace panel ELP-5.5th Floor - Replace and relocate (due to clearance) panel ELP-7.6th Floor - Replace panel ELP-6. Electronic - (Work to be completed by FAA personnel) NOTICE OF AMERICAN AND RECOVERY AND INVESTMENT ACT A contract awarded under this SIR will require products and services that are funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Recovery Act requires special reporting from both the contractors and the FAA. Timeliness and accuracy of the data is critical. All interested vendors need to be thoroughly familiar with all applicable clauses and their requirements prior to submitting a proposal. Please be aware that all reporting requirements will be strictly enforced throughout the life of the contract.
