- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. AG-5114 S-10 BB02 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005 38. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 424710. For a company to qualify as a small business, the small business standard is 500 employees or less. The USDA, ARS, MWA, NADC - NCAH, Ames, IA has a requirement/need for a contractor to provide all labor, equipment, material, supervision, and transportation required to provide and deliver propane gas for refilling tanks which vary in size from 250 to 1000 gallons located at 2300 Dayton Avenue, Ames, IA. The contractor will top off all tanks twice a week during cold temperatures and once a week during average temperatures on a schedule to be coordinated with the location. The contractor must be able to deliver within 24 hours of notification in case of emergencies. The estimated yearly usage is 88,000 gallons. An Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Contract will be issued. The period of performance is from April 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011. DOCUMENTS TO BE INCLUDED IN QUOTE: In order to be considered for award Offerors shall provide 1) a quote on company letterhead including company DUNS #; 2) at least 3 to 5 references for the proposed service. References must have used the proposed service within the last three (3) calendar years (Government references preferred but will accept commercial references). References shall be provided for the service proposed and if possible include the email address of the person to be contacted; and 3) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions FAR 52.212 3, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS COMMERCIAL ITEMS, with this offer. FAR 52.212-3 can be found on-line at https://www.acquisition.gov/comp/far/loadmainre.html. INVOICING: Monthly, in arrears, send original invoice to the Contracting Officer. Please show the Contract Number on the invoice. DELIVERY: FOB Destination. The Government requires delivery to be scheduled and coordinated in advance with location personnel. A delivery ticket should be provided upon delivery showing gallons filled per tank.
