- Amendment 00001 for USCG Ant Mobile (ANT 55118) Specification Revision 1 dated 14 January 2010. The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Drydock Repairs of the Coast Guard ANT MOBILE (ANT 55118), a 55 Foot AIDS TO NAVIGATION BOAT. The acquisition will be set-aside for Small Businesses. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and Subpart 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Quote (RFQ), on or about 8 January 2010. This Requirement will be evaluated using past performance as an evaluation factor. The standard industrial classification code is 3732 and the NAICS is 336611. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility. The performance period will be Fifty-One (51) calendar days with a start date on or about 5 April 2010. Restriction: The vessel is restricted to an area no greater than 200 nautical miles from the ANB's home station, on navigable waterways and no more than 20 nautical miles off shore. Home Station: Coast Guard ANT MOBILE, South Broad Street, Building 101, Mobile, AL 36615. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPS) web page at https://fbo.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for the RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPS contains an option for automatic notification service. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via Fed-X, if requested. Send all requests via e-mail to Dorothy.rawls@uscg.mil. The scope of work for this acquisition is but not limited to: Welding Repairs (Aluminum); Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) Shot Inspection; Air Test Inaccessible Voids; Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rub Rail System and Transom Fenders; Renew Shear Bar Rail Section; Realign Main Engine/Reduction Gear to Shaft; Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shaft (s); Renew Stern Tube; Renew Strut and Stern Tube Bearings; Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propeller (s); Renew or Overhaul Sea Valves; Inspect and overhaul Sea Valves; Renew Fuel Valves; Clean and Inspect Exhaust Piping System (s); Renew, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder (s); Preserve and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks - 100%; Clean and Inspect Gray Water Holding and Sewage Tank; Clean and Inspect Fuel Storage Tank; Routine Drydocking; Preserve Underwater Body - 100%; Preserve Freeboard - 100%; Preserve Superstructure; Preserve Weather Decks; Renew Hand Rail. Trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures shall accomplish all welding and brazing.
