Description
The following are responses to questions posed, regarding the Cultural Awareness Request for Information (RFI). Please note that all of this information is still in the development stage and is subject to change. At this point, our sole purpose is to determine if there are firms who are qualified to provide this training and are interested in doing so. Question 1: How many students will require training? Response 1: The approximate total number of students will be 350, to be trained in increments of 30 to 35 per session. Question 2: How many hours of training are expected for each student? Response 2: Approximately 24 to 40 hours per student, depending upon course material requirements. The total number of hours per student is flexible, for purposes of this RFI. Question 3: Will training be only in a classroom, or also in the field? Response 3: All training will occur in the Corps' Winchester, VA facility. Question 4: What is the longevity of this contract? Response 4: Potentially one-year base contract plus four option periods. Question 5: Whose responsibility is it to provide a curriculum and course materials for the cultural training? Response 5: If a Solicitation/Request for Quote is released subsequent to this RFI, then curriculum and supporting materials will be proposed by the vendor in response to that request. Question 6: How many instructors are needed? Response 6: Vendor will propose the number of instructors and other information in response to a Solicitation/Request for Quote, that may be released at a future date. Question 7: Is it a requirement that instructors are U.S. Citizens, or can they be here on a work visa? Response 7: There are no restrictions on Nationality or U.S. citizenship. Question 8: How many days per week and hours per day are allotted for the class? Response 8: Vendor will propose this information as a response to a Solicitation/Request for Quote that may be released in the future. Question 9: Will classrooms be provided, or are we responsible for providing accommodations? Response 9: Classrooms or conference rooms will be provided for training, at the Corps' Middle East District in Winchester, VA. If you have additional questions or require clarification of any of the above, please contact me at barb.stuart@usace.army.mil. Thank you very much.
