The proposed procurement is a small disabled veteran owned business (SDVOB) set aside with NAICS code 238990 with a size standard of $14.0M. The project will be located at the National Arboretum, Washington, DC. Project would consist of design and construction of an access road from New York Avenue to the Hickey Run Interceptor Site. The access road from the New York Avenue service/deceleration lane heading east would be constructed of a permeable paving system that would filter storm water adjacent to Hickey Run Stream, as well as gate access from the New York Avenue service lane(see attached sketch). Features would include in-ground solar landscaping solar powered lighting system and guard rails at the perimeter adjacent to the interceptors. Project features would include: Gate Design and cut through the existing approximately 7high iron fence to construct a 16 wide gate with 2 in-swinging leafs; materials, style, height and width to match existing 8wide panels.. Access Road Design and construct a curb cut from New York Avenue with an access road from the deceleration lane leading to the Hickey Run Interceptor Site out of a permeable paving system. Road and turn-out stub dimensions: 16 wide and approx 80 in length with radius dimensions to allow for a WASA truck to access the site to vacuum debris using a vacuum hose. Lighting Design and provide an in-ground landscape lighting system that would use solar power. Permits Contractor would be responsible to obtain all permits including any DDOT and FHWA permits required for curb cut and access road off New York Avenue.
