Description
The Air Force Air Armament Center (AAC), 308th Armament Systems Wing, Rapid Acquisition Cell is seeking information that could lead to development of an air-delivered capability to disable moving ground vehicles while minimizing harm to occupants. Development schedule is expected to be a critical factor in any potential development effort, so responses should focus on feasibility and maturity of the key technologies. Responses should include candidate integration concepts which take maximum advantage of existing infrastructure in order to minimize cost and development time. Responses must include a top-level concept of employment and state communication and intelligence requirements. Responses should include a schedule for demonstration of the capability in a realistic environment. Any special restrictions, requirements, logistics, or training that may apply to a concept demonstration should be included. Responses are limited to 10 standard letter (8.5X11) pages and one cover sheet/executive summary. Responses shall be formatted in these sections in this order: 1. Concept, Effect and Feasibility 2. Employment and Integration concepts 3. Timeline estimate to first effect demonstration 4. Major technical hurdles to be addressed prior to first demonstration Information is sought to broaden the knowledge base of concepts in this area of interest for potential development investigation in the future. Interested firms should submit responses via email to David Fennell at david.fennell@eglin.af.mil no later than 23 February 2010. Technical questions regarding this Request for Information should be directed to Robert Carden at (850) 883-0484 or robert.carden@eglin.af.mil. This announcement constitutes a request for information, and is intended as market research.
