- Description
- GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no risk to you for participating in this survey. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government. The U.S. government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. However, this is an important opportunity for you to influence the solicitation provisions and contract clauses, our budget requests, and the full range of other elements supporting the acquisition strategy for this program. GOAL: To identify either existing or quickly and readily adaptable products that will meet the requirement. This product is an urgent need. Please do not respond on the basis of lengthy or speculative development efforts. Positive responses regarding capabilities, survivability, and other product information should be based on the existing product or on a well-defined modification described in the Table under heading 5. Please include any and all anticipated price and schedule effects of such modifications. Please also note these effects under Cost/Schedule/Life Cycle Support. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Bradley Fuel Cell System (BFCS) for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle to replace the existing system. The new BFCS consists of a rigid outer shell that supports a self-sealing internal bladder capable of containing the vehicle fuel during an event where the fuel cell is exposed to rapid deformation. The BFCS shall be able to utilize existing fuel pumps, fuel level sending unit, fuel line connections, electrical connections and mounting provisions identified in documentation provided. DOCUMENTATION PROVIDED: BFCS Interface Control Document (ICD) 12535664, BFCS Installation Drawing 12521128, BFCS Container Assembly Drawing 12535648, and BFCS Assembly Drawing 12535649. Although these drawings are subject to change, please study these documents carefully, as any significant deviation from the existing interface requirements would likely render a product unsuitable in light of the urgency of this effort. INSTRUCTIONS: Please review the attached Market Investigation Questionnaire and respond to every question and complete the Capabilities Table under heading 5.
