Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Acquisition Department,Norfolk, VA plans to issue a sole source contract to Research TriangleInstitute International, 3040 Cornwallis Road, P.O. Box 12194, ResearchTriangle Park, NC 27709-2194 for the Proficiency Testing Program Servicesas required by the Navy & Marine Corps Public Health Center, Portsmouth, VA.This requirement is for a base year plus four (4) option years. Thecontractor shall provide the necessary personnel, materials, facilities andtechnical services required to provide and maintain a proficiency testingquality assurance program for a maximum of forty seven (47) Navy AsbestosTesting Laboratories. The resulting contract will have a period of one base year with four oneyear options. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 22 January 2010 bydownloading the documents at the Neco Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)code for this acquisition is 541380. Potential contractors are herebynotified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitationwill ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will nolonger issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor isself-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporateofficials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwiseineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. Bysubmission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that aprospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award,during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting fromthis solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to beperformed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCRdatabase will make a contractor ineligible for award.
