- Description
- Requirement is for a Contractor to provide a tug and barge to pick up 4 LCM-8's from Blount Island, load and secure them to the barge, and tow to Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), Cuba for off-load. LCM's will be fully fueled. Contractor required to provide cradles and rigging for securing LCMs. The navy will provide crane for off-load at GTMO. Each LCM is steel hulled, 135,000 lbs each and are 74' long and 21' wide. The tug should have sufficient communications, horsepower, navigation equipment, winches, and lines/tow gear (including applicable lighting) to safely and expeditiously facilitate this tow. Place of re-delivery can be mutually agreed upon. No government riders will be aboard during the tow. Minimum speed of advance should be 8 knots.
