- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): W91249-08-D-0002 which was previously awarded to Project XYZ, Inc., Huntsville, Alabama This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because this is an order under an existing contract that was awarded using non-competitive procedures. This contract was awarded as an 8(a) sole source requirements contract using 8(a) direct award procedures in accordance with (IAW) DFARS 219.800. W91249-08-D-0002 was issued as requirements contract IAW FAR 16.203(b) due to the fact that the Government anticipates recurring requirements but cannot predetermine the precise quantities of supplies or services that designated Government activities will need during a definite period. The Fort Gordon Directorate of Contracting has issued a firm fixed price task order against contract W91249-08-D-0002 to provide all equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation and supervision necessary to provide outside telecommunications installation services to the Range Control Building. This pre-existing requirements contract vehicle is being used in accordance with FAR Clause 52.216-21, Alt I, the Government shall order from the Contractor all of that activitys requirements for supplies and services specified in the Schedule that exceed the quantities that the activity may furnish within its own capabilities. Work shall include but is not limited to: providing, installing, and terminating 12 strand underground single mode fiber and one fifty pair underground copper cable from the main connect to the Range Control building. The project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This is not a request for quotation or a solicitation for offers.
