Description
The Bureau of Land Management, Richfield Field Office, Utah has a requirement for the rental of 2 Caterpillar D8 (or comparable) Bulldozers including delivery to Scipio, Utah for one month. The bulldozers will be used for chaining in the early spring for seeding purposes. Contract to begin late February to early March depending upon the ability of winning contractor to supply equipment and weather conditions. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The effect through FAC 2005-26 (June 2008). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitaition will not be issued. The solicitation number for this request for quote is L10PS01868. The minimum salient features and specifications for this requirement are as follows:BULLDOZERS WITHOUT OPERATOR2 BULLDOZERS CATERPILLAR D8 OR COMPARABLE SUCH AS KOMATSU D155 OR THREE YEARS OLD OR LESS310 HORSEPOWERENCLOSED CAB WITH HEATINGCLEVIS TYPE DRAWBAR AND PIN OR SIMILAR TYPE HITCH THAT CHAIN CAN BE ATTACHED TOLIGHTSWINDSHIELD WIPERSAIR CUSHION SEATOPERATORS MANUAL PROVIDED WITH EACH DOZER TIME FRAME: ANTICIPATED START DATES: FEBRUARY 15, 2010 TO MARCH 15, 2010 ANTICIPATED RENTAL PERIOD: 1 MONTH EACH (OPTION TO EXTEND ONE OR MORE TRACTORS UP TO 1 ADDITIONAL MONTH EACH)MAXIMUM NUMBER OF HOURS PER MONTH OF USE PER MACHINE: 300 RENTAL PERIOD SHALL BEGIN WHEN TRACTOR IS DELIVERED TO JOB SITE. RENTAL PERIOD SHALL END TWO WORKING DAYS AFTER THE CONTRACTING OFFICERS REPRESENTATIVE NOTIFIES THE RENTAL AGENCY TO PICK UP THE TRACTORS. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:LUBE, OIL AND FILTERS CHANGED PER MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATION SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE PER MONTH OF RENTAL AND PAID FOR BY THE TRACTOR RENTAL AGENCY.DELIVERY AND PICK UP REQUIREMENTS: DELIVERY AND RETURN OF TRACTOR SHALL BE PAID FOR BY THE LOADED MILE. THE EXACT LOCATIONS WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE COR AFTER AWARD NEAR SCIPIO, UTAH (ZIP CODE 84656). TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PAID BASED ON AN HOURLY CHARGE AND MILEAGE. PAYMENT: PAYMENT SHALL BE MADE FOR EACH MONTH OF TRACTOR RENTAL, PER DOZER. ANY PART OF A MONTH BEYOND ONE MONTH SHALL BE PAID FOR AT THE INDUSTRY STANDARD: ONE WEEK EQUALS ONE-THIRD OF A MONTHS RENTAL FEE. ANY TIME LESS THAN WEEK WILL BE ROUNDED UP TO A FULL WEEK.Technical Performance: Prospective offer must be regularly established in the business called for.
