- Disabled Transition Assistance Program (DTAP)VA RFP - VA798-10-RP-0012 Synopsis Date: January 06, 2010 Year: FY 10 NAICS Classification Code: 541611 Contracting Office Address: 7485 New Horizon Way Contracting Office Zip Code: 21703 Subject: Disabled Transition Assistance Program (DTAP) Proposed Solicitation Number: VA798-10-RP-0012 Closing Response Date: On or around January 25, 2010 Point of Contact: Megan.Replogle@va.gov Place of Contract Performance: To Be Determined Set-Aside Status: Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) Set Aside Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program is planning to significantly redesign its Disabled Transition Assistance Program (DTAP) briefings and activities to modernize the service-delivery of information provided to exiting service, Guard, and reserve members who may have a service-related disability. As directed by VR&E leadership, the primary purpose of the DTAP Initiative is to enhance the delivery of information to disabled Servicemembers by modifying the structure, content, and delivery of the DTAP presentation in order to increase the awareness, standardization, and provision of DTAP services utilized by service, Guard, and reserve members. The DTAP modernization initiative will involve business transformation strategies, implementation of strategies nationwide and ongoing support to significantly enhance DTAP services. The end goal is to transform DTAP into a world-class customer service program, one that is completely Veteran-centric. This acquisition effort will result in the award of a contract to acquire services from an independent, responsive, responsible, and experienced Contractor. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable local, state, and Federal laws, including the Privacy Act, 5 U.S.C. 552a, and all agency privacy and security requirements. The Contractor shall clearly and effectively communicate in a timely fashion with parties including, but not limited to: VR&E, Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), and all strategic and programmatic partners.
