Description
NASA/SSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the following Commercialitems:One hundred ninety (190) each, Static Pressure Transmitters, Eight (8) each,Delta Pressure Transmitters, Four (4) each, Static Pressure Transmitters, andSeventy-five (75) each, Static Pressure Transmitters, for the A3 Diffuser and CSG systemto support the J-2X engine testing on the test stand. The first three categories willconsist of static pressure transmitters with each group having a different pressure rangeand response time requirements. The fourth category will be the delta pressuretransmitters. The contractor shall design, fabricate, test, tag, package, and ship therequirement in accordance the specification. Each pressure transmitter shall be suitablefor use with gaseous and liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen, isopropyl alcohol and steam,as well as air and water. All units shall be designed to permit interchangeability ofunits with the same part number. The specification will be included in the solicitationwhich will be issued on February 5, 2010. The closing date for receipt of proposals isFebruary 26, 2010. Any technical questions shall be submitted via email or fax within ten (10) days afterposting of the solicitation. Telephone questions are not acceptable.Delivery of all items shall be within six (6) weeks. FOB Destination.This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1.The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334513 and 500, respectively. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/SSCBusiness Opportunities page ishttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=64 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible fordownloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
