Description

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Cooperative Studies Program Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center, 2401 Central Ave. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with OI Analytical, Inc. in accordance with FAR Parts 6.302, 6.303 and 6.304. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A service contract covering all preventive maintenance requirements and validation to be compliant with manufacturer's specifications, and cGMP and FDA guidelines for the Varian, Inc. VK7010 Dissolution Testers are used for drug dissolution testing. Tablet dissolution is a standardized method for measuring the rate of drug release from a dosage form. Varian, Inc. is the manufacturer of the equipment, and the required chemical reagents and the replacement parts are proprietary. Parties may identify their interests to the Contracting Officer by e-mail, Helen.thomas@va.gov no later than 1/27/2010. PHONE CALLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. A determination by the Government not to compete the action based on a response is solely within the Governments discretion. Information received will be reviewed for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive proposal.
