- Description
- The Air Armament Center (AAC) is hosting the AAC Acquisition Process Update 2010 for interested defense contractors on Monday, 15 March 2010, 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Eglin AFB Conference Center, Eglin AFB, FL. The forum will feature comments by Dr Bruce Simpson, Air Force Deputy PEO for Weapons and presentations by key leaders of AAC. This forum is planned to provide your company briefings on the following topics: 1. Overview of Acquisition at the Air Armament Center 2. Acquisition Updates 3. Integrated Assessment (IA) Tools Update 4. AFRL Technology Transfer/Transition 5. AAC/XR Pre-Acquisition Planning 6. AAC Response to NDIA RFP Inputs 7. AAC Contracting Update (types/lengths/source selection) 8. AAC Cost Update (source selection implications) 9. AAC Portfolio Review Specific program information is not anticipated to be discussed in the open forum. Industry participants will be offered brief (30 minute) one-on-one meetings scheduled for 16-18 March 2010. To maximize the number of companies able to participate and due to facility space limitations, each company will be limited to ten representatives. Parties wishing to attend must RSVP by email no later than 22 Feb 2010 to SrA Nate McKnight at Joseph.Mcknight2@eglin.af.mil. The e-mailed request must include: 1. Full company name & address 2. A designated company point of contact for registration purposes, with email, address & phone number 3. Whether your organization would like to reserve a one-on-one session 4. Names, addresses and phone numbers of up to ten (10) attendees from your company (and up to five (5) alternate attendees, in case of substitutions) 5. Information whether they have a CAC card 6.
