- THIS ACQUISITION HAS BEEN SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITION --- The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Emergency and Environment Health Services (EEHS), Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Programs (CLPPP) will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to furnish all required personnel, materials, equipment, services and supplies to provide various work and services as specified in individual Firm Fixed Price (FFP) task orders. Solicitation Number 2010-N-11961 will be posted on the Government wide Point of Entry (GPE) www.fedbizopps.gov on or about February 16, 2010. The objective of this acquisition is to provide CLPPP technical assistance and scientific guidance to international, federal, state, local, tribal government health service agencies, community groups and not for profit organizations, engaged environment health service programs; participations who support lead and healthy housing hazards in investigations; and provide training and scientific support to environmental professionals where technology or information gaps exists in areas such as primary prevention practices, protective policy development and implementation, surveillance and epidemiologic support, evaluation, and program assistance. The EEHS/CLPPP works to strengthen the role of state, local and national environmental health programs and professionals to better anticipate, identify, and respond to adverse environmental exposures and the consequences of these exposures to human health. This is accomplished by providing environment health professionals access to topical, relevant, scientific information, consultation and assistance through joint studies and data sharing. The EEHS/CLPPP is committed to developing and reinforcing an awareness of the important role of environment health and its workforce with public health as well as working to become a professional and information resource for environment health professionals in all facets of environmental health. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 541690 - Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services, $7.0 million. The anticipated performance period will consist of one year, base period and four (4) 12-month option periods for a not to exceed a ceiling amount of $25M All responsible sources interested in competing for this acquisition must submit a proposal in accordance with the solicitation when it is released. Please be advised the Government will not maintain a Bidder's List; therefore, interested parties are responsible for periodically monitoring www.FedBizOpps.gov for the release of the solicitation and subsequent amendments.
