Department of Veterans AffairsWm. Jennings Bryan Dorn (WJBD) VA Medical Center The WJBD VA Medical Center is proud to announce the 2nd Annual 2010 Vendors Fair. This fair will take place at the VA medical center located at: 6439 Garners Ferry Road Columbia, SC 29209 March 10-12, 2010 Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm Your participation in this fair is at no cost to the Government and shall not, under any circumstances, obligate the Government to purchase. This fair will allow vendors the opportunity to demo unique and innovative equipment that are available to service our nation's heroes - Our Veterans! Your participation is strictly voluntary and at the vendor's expense. Interested vendors are asked to provide demos on the following types of equipment that would service our veterans: " Car Extraction: Items that will transfer and/or lift patients out of their vehicles "Power stretchers: Items that will allow healthcare providers to move patients in stretchers electrically "Ceiling Lifts: Lifts are mounted to the ceiling and allow healthcare providers to lift and transfer patients "Portable lifts: Lifts are moved to the patient's location and used to lift and move them "Wheelchair movers: Attachment to the wheelchair to power move the patients "Power Exam tables: Tables to raise and lower for examination *Please limit demos and product literature to the aforementioned items only* When replying for participation, vendors are asked to submit answers to the following questions: 1. Items you intend to demonstrate and will bring to the event. 2. Electrical outlets required and the amount. 3. Are you planning to stay all three days? If not, how many and what is your time schedule? 4. How many people from your company are attending this event? 5. What type of vehicle will you be traveling in? (This is to provide for parking accommodations) 6. How many parking spaces will you require? 7. Do you need to unload/load and how much time will you need to set up? 8. How many tables and chairs do you require for your station? 9. Space requirement for equipment? (Space needed cannot be guaranteed) 10. References of at least 2 customers (if possible) that currently use the proposed product 10. Your company's name as shown on your CCR and the company's DUNS number Security Requirements: The VA Police will provide security for any items left overnight in the auditorium. The Government is not responsible for the loss or theft of any equipment while showcasing the products. Vendors are responsible for removing products, papers, flyers, equipment, etc. from the facility by 4:00PM 12 March 2010. PLEASE NOTE: Vendors are required to provide their own moving equipment (i.e. dolly, flatbed, etc.). Product literature must be brought day of event. Items will not be accepted through the mail or warehouse receiving facilities. March 10, 2010 - 8:00am-12:00pm, the vendors will report to Bldg. 106 Room A129 for a "Mandatory" Orientation Session. After the orientation, you will proceed to the Auditorium to set up in preparation of the event. The Vendor's Fair official dates will be March 11 & 12th from 8:00am- 4:30pm. All vendors must be registered to do business with the Federal Government via the Central Contractors Registration (CCR). Registration Deadline is: 12 February 2010 Hurry!! Space availability on a first come first serve basis.
