- Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE) is seeking qualified and interested parties on an unrestricted basis. The work will primarily consist of runway repairs. This project represents repairs on Runways 1/19 and 13/31 and all associated, Blast Pavements, Taxiways, and Aircraft Parking Aprons at Naval Auxiliary Landing Field Orange Grove, Texas. The runway repairs include repairing the wearing surface of the asphalt portion by milling and pavement overlay. Repairs to the concrete portions of runway ends, blast pavements, taxiways, and parking aprons will include patching spalls, cracks, and damaged patches. Rubber removal will be conducted where necessary and Airfield Pavement markings will be replaced in all areas damaged by this project. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal, as it conforms to the solicitation requirements, represents the best value to the Government. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 237310, Airport Runway Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $33,500,000. The project magnitude for this project is between $5M and $10M. Interested sources are invited to respond to this sources sought announcement. Respondents shall provide up to three projects that best demonstrate the company's experience relative to the types of work covered by this requirement. Projects should be representative of NAICS 237310 and be similar in size, scope, and complexity to this requirement. Contracts must have been completed within the last five years. Contracts with federal, state, or local Government, and/or commercial customers will be accepted. Respondents should provide a statement of the company's capability relative to this type of work. Also, respondents should provide its bonding capacity for both a single contract and aggregate capacity.Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. However, NAVFAC SE will use the information provided, for technical and acquisition planning. Please provide your type of business, for example, 8(a), HUBzone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, or Small Business concerns. The acquisition may be solicited on a set-aside basis depending on the responses receive. All proprietary information not to be disseminated in Government documents must be clearly identified. Please respond to this announcement by 2:00 p.m. (EST) on 17 February 2010, via email to vicki.blankenship@navy.mil. The subject line of the email shall state NALF ORANGE GROVE, TX RUNWAY REPAIRS SOURCES SOUGHT RESPONSE. Emails shall be no more than 8MB in size. If additional space is needed, more than one email may be sent. Responses received after the deadline or without the required information shall be considered unacceptable and will not be considered. Since this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the participants.
