A MODIFICATION TO THE MANUAL SOLICITATION HAS BEEN POSTED ON THE ARMY SINGLE FACE TO INDUSTRY (ASFI) ACQUISITION BUSINESS WEB SITE. THE SOLICITATION NUMBER IS W912HZ-10-R-0006. AMENDMENT NUMBER IS 001. INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCESSING SOLICTATION W912HZ-10-R-0006: 1. Access the following website: https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/default.cfm 2. Under the blue heading entitled 'ASFI Business Opportunities,' click on 'Contracting Opportunities Search.' 3. Enter the solicitation number WITHOUT dashes as follows: W912HZ10R0006 4. The solicitation number, solicitation data, buyer name, and closing date should appear on the next screen. 5. Click on the solicitation number for specific information, including the Request for Proposal 6. The Request for Proposal is has been attached as an adobe document. It is available for viewing under the section at the bottom of the page entitled 'Government User Uploaded Solicitation Files.' ANY QUESTIONS RELATING TO THIS SOLICITATION SHOULD BE EMAILED TO ANGELA M. STOKES AT ANGELA.C.MCREE@USACE.ARMY.M IL USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), has a need for Deep Water Ship Channel (DWSC) Sediment and Water Sampling Services in support of the Environmental Laboratory (EL), US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). The requirement will include all aspects of planning, execution, data collection and reduction, and reporting to perform sediment and water sampling of the Sacramento and Stockton Deep Water Ship Channel (DWSC). The specific tasks which the contractor will be required to participate in are directed towards satisfying and supporting Army and DoD requirements in several specific technical areas of engineering and science which include: pre-dredge testing and monitoring; mobilizing the sampling vessel which includes fueling, provisioning with adequate coring tubes, power source for boring mechanisms, hoisting equipment, depth measuring equipment, and GPS positioning equipment; dredging; managing and collecting sediment and water samples; chemical analysis of samples; analytical testing; de-mobilize the vessel; labeling, storing, packing, and shipping of sediment samples. Detailed specifications will be available on the FedBizOpps website at https://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 2 February 2010. Hardcopies will not be available. Offerors should check the FedBizOpps web page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS UNDER NAICS CODE 541690 WITH A SIZE STANDARD OF $7,000,000.00. No technical questions will be considered prior to the release of the solicitation.
