Description
This is a notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing an engineering service solicitation in support of the AN/USM-670 Joint Service Electronic Combat System Tester. The Performance-Based Work Statement (PWS) provides for Engineering Support of the A-10 ALR-69 Test Program Set. This support will include upgrades for expanded capabilities, general updates and correction of problem reports. This includes analysis, problem investigation, problem resolution, regression, validation, and integration testing. Period of Performance shall be 12 months after receipt of order (ARO). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit sole source to AAI Corporation, CAGE 97384, under authority of FAR 6.302-1(only one source is capable of satisfying the government's requirement). RFP will be issued to the sole source contactor by the Contracting Officer. Please contact the CO for a copy. Export Control applies. FAR 12 does not apply. See Note(s) 22 & 26 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. 26. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify tot the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
