- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center (Aircraft Division) Patuxent River, Maryland, has a requirement for the development of a validated probabilistic injury model of the complete spine including the skull. The Navy intends to award a sole source contract to Southwest Research Institute located at 6220 Culebra Road, San Antonio, Texas, 78238. The total estimated value of this award is $1,900,000.00. This requirement is a follow on for further research to a previously awarded contract. The contract will have a one year base period and four one year options. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, if there is a contractor who feels that they can meet this requirement, they can submit their information package to the Contracting Office within fifteen days of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
