- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to make a sole source award to Roche Diagnostics, Indianapolis, IN for microarray hybridization service using a custom bovine microa rray (Bovine CGH 2.1M Array). The complete analysis that Roche Diagnostics (Roche-NimbleGen) can provide includes determination of DNA quality and quantity, DNA shearing and labeling, hybridization to the custom bovine microarray, image acquisition, and data analysis. The array platform used by ARS for hybridization consists of a bovine-specific high-density oligonucleotide DNA microarray designed and acquired by Roche Diagnostics (formerly NimbleGen) based on bovine genomic sequence and generated using Maskless Array Synthesizer Technology. As this is a custom (proprietary) microarray designed by Roche-NimbleGen, only they have the capability to generate hybridization data from it due to its unique characteristics.
