Description
**The notice is amended to include basic aircraft specifications, remove the logistics support requirement and mention that option years are not anticipated.** THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Scope: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement to lease four Light Aircraft in support of NAVAIR's Irregular Warfare efforts. The aircraft are required to support an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) demonstration. While the aircraft requirements are still being developed, the basic specifications of the platform are: Aircraft must be new, single engine, turbo-prop with dual, tandem seats with dual controls. The aircraft must be capable of being weaponized and be equipped with an ejection seat in both cockpits. As part of the lease, the contractor shall provide all maintenance item consumables, repair parts and spares for the aircraft for the duration of the contract. The Government will provide all aircraft approved fuel, petroleum, oil and lubricant (POL) products, as well as the operators. This requirement will be procured via full and open competition. The resultant contract vehicle is anticipated to be Firm Fixed Price with a one year period of performance. Option years are not anticipated to be included. NAVAIR anticipates procurement milestones to occur on or about the following dates: Solicitation issued: 12 Feb 2010 Contract Award: 30 Apr 2010 This notice is for informational purposes only.
