Description
The VA Network 22 Logistic Office intends to enter into sole source procurement with St. Jude Medical Inc. This proposed contract action is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect. This procurement is for an EnSite Velocity Cardiac Mapping System. The EnSite Velocity Cardiac Mapping System is designed to assist physicians to identify and guide therapy in treating abnormal heart rhythms. The Ensite Velocity System is the only system that provides the combination of one-step, high density maps, the flexibility of an open platform and an intuitive user interface that mirrors procedure flow. It is compatible with a wide range of diagnostic and ablation catheters; and supports integration with most ablation generators and recording systems. Ensite Velocity System has the following features: 1. Non contact mapping with Array Catheter for mapping of atrial arrhythmias. 2.NavX Patches allows the lab to collect voltage or timing information from one electrode at a time, all electrodes on one catheter or all electrodes on all catheters (up to 12 catheters/64 electrodes). 3.Ability to map hemodynamically unstable or non-sustained arrhythmias which is vital for patient safety. 4.Navigates up to 64 electrodes across 12 separate catheters including specialty catheters with unique shapes and sizes. 5.Open architecture, which allows usage of all manufacturers' catheters with the Ensite mapping system. 6.Ability to see all catheters in the heart simultaneously which is a benefit to patient safety. 7.Increase procedural efficiency by collecting many points simultaneously. 8.The EnSite Connect is fully HIPPA compliant which allows the physician to connect directly to the technical services department if problems develop during the cardiac procedure. The ability to see the actual geometry is another patient safety feature. There is no other available equipment that can meet these requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely by the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. Inquires will only be accepted by email at sharon.forbes@va.gov.
