Description

RECOVERY ACT PROCUREMENT. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The project will be funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The proposed procurement is being made under an GSA Schedule 56, SIN 206.3 Alternative and Renewable Energy Solutions, including Solar Energy Systems and Solar Lighting, Fuel Cells, Wind Power, quotations were only accepted from Schedule 56, SIN 206.3 holders. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 221119, The size standard for this NAICS code is defined by the Small Business Administration as follows, "A firm is small if, including its affiliates, it is primarily engaged in the generation, transmission, and/or distribution of electric energy for sale and its total electric output for the preceding fiscal year did not exceed 4 million megawatt hours." The estimated award for this project is $3,500,000. The scope of work for this project is a turnkey installation of a Photovolatic System on the roof of the Terry Sanford Federal Building, in Raleigh, NC. This includes photovoltaic panels, mounting systems and associated electrical work for a complete turn-key project. When complete the PV system will provide an alternative energy source that will provide supplemental electrical power to the Terry Sanford Federal Building.
