- RECOVERY - Purchase and installation of water utility meter replacement and automated meter reading deployment, at 5 areas in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Arizona and Utah. The intent of this project is to have the Contractor provide and install meters equipped to support an Automated Meter Reading System (AMR). Provide meter reading equipment capable of receiving meter data with the use of handheld reading devices and or a mobile reading unit that can be down loaded via LAN to a centralized program with no disruption of the Parks monthly meter reading cycle. In accordance with Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competiveness Demonstration Program, this procurement is open to all sized businesses. All contractors experienced in this type of construction work may compete for this contract. Estimated project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is being issued as UNRESTRICTED and is therefore subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for Hubzone Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238220 with a small business size of $14 million of annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. A small business concern is defined as a concern (including all of its subsidiaries) having less than or equal to $14 million annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. The solicitation for this procurement will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about 02/19/2010. TELEPHONE OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitation and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. However, all responses will be delivered by express mail or hand carried by 3:30 PM MST, 3/22/2010.
